SAFE GARDENING
Don’t be stressed about pests in your garden. They are part and parcel of organic gardening. Your garden shouldn’t be devoid of all life, nor your plants completely pest-free. That simply isn’t natural. Yet, with some good tips and tools under your belt, you can keep them at a manageable level.
While there are many commercially pre-made natural insecticides available on the market that are rated for organic gardening and are regarded more environmentally-friendly than most other pesticides, they often still include chemicals. “Fier Eco Shot”, however, is made with 100% natural ingredients.
“Fier Eco Shot” is proven to kill a variety of plant-eating insects. This powerful concentrate packs over 100 times the amount of active ingredients into just one 16 fl. oz. economical bottle, making over 20 gallons of solution. Mix one dose of “Fier Eco Shot” Concentrate with 1-2 gallons of water, and store the rest for future pesticide applications.
Made with natural plant extracts, “Fier Eco Shot” works by weakening the soft insect bodies’ waxy coating and penetrating into their cellular membranes, causing them to dehydrate and die. Just mix and spray at the first signs of insects, and apply regularly when insects are present to keep your plants pest-free.
Targets and kills in minutes: aphids, earwigs, grasshoppers, harlequin bugs, leafhoppers, mealy bugs, mites, plant bugs, psyllids, sawfly larvae, soft scales, spider mites, and whiteflies.
Effective against adult, larvae, and nymph stages of pests.
You can spray generously onto your: plants, trees, shrubs, flowers, fruits and vegetables to protect them from the most damaging of insects until the day of harvest. It will not persist in the environment.
USE THIS COMPLEMENTARY STICKER ON YOUR SPRAYER WHEN MIXING 1 DOSE WITH 1-2 GALLON OF WATER. IT WILL KILL MOST GARDEN INSECTS AND CREATE A LASTING PLANT-REPELLENT ACTION.
CAUTIONS:
As with any plant treatment or spray, apply “Fier Eco Shot” to a small test area a day or two before treating a larger area.
The safest way to apply “Fier eco shot” and not harm your plants and vegetables, is to spray and kill the bugs and rinse the plants thoroughly with water 10 minutes later after all the bugs are dead.
Do not spray in direct sunlight, as it can sunburn plant leaves (phototoxicity). It is also best to apply “Fier Eco Shot” in the evening as many beneficial insects are less active then.
INSTRUCTIONS:
For use indoors, outdoors and in greenhouses:
“Fier Eco Shot” kills on direct contact, so spray it right on the pests making sure that you coat them thoroughly.
A few minutes later, they will be dead. Now rinse your plants with water to protect them from sunburn.
If the insects are still alive, increase the concentration of your mix by adding 1 more dose to it and spray again until all the pests are dead. Do not forget to rinse your plants afterwards.
HOW TO SPRAY CORRECTLY:
Spray the whole plant including both the top and underside of leaves, stems, and vines.
You can also cover up the soil at the base of the plant and nearby plants with this solution just to be on the safe side.
Turn over or peel open curled-up leaves as needed to access hard-to-reach bugs and spray.
Rub the infected areas and leaves, manually squishing the aphids or mealy bugs with your fingers at the same time.
CAUTIONS:
If the weather forecast is hot and sunny the day after your evening application, rinse off “Fier Eco Shot” (and now – dead bugs) by spraying the plant with fresh water by the next morning to prevent potential sunburn. Avoid wetting leaves during direct sunlight hours.
Re-apply “ Fier Eco Shot” spray every 3 to 7 days, bi-weekly or as needed. It may take several treatments to solve a pest problem. You need to disrupt their reproductive cycle to make sure it will not come back.
Remember to treat early and be preventative. It is much easier to prevent or nip a little infestation in the bud than wait and battle an epic one!
If you want “Fier Eco Shot” solution to stick to the leaves for a longer duration, add two tablespoons of any cooking oil in this solution. Pour this solution in a spray bottle and spray it directly over the pests in the evening. Before spraying the solution, spray the affected plants with a steady and strong stream of water using a garden hose. The spores will loosen up and make the solution work even more effectively. Remember spraying the plant with water by the next morning to avoid sunburn. When using this method always apply “Fier Eco Shot” to a small test area a day or two before treating a larger area.
NOTE: A single dose of “Fier Eco Shot” when diluted on 1-2 Gallons of water will not harm beneficial insects like bees and butterflies but try to avoid directly spraying upon them to keep them away from any harm.
ADDITIVES:
Adding neem Oil:
Neem oil prevents and deters pests effectively. However, if you have a full-blown infestation of pests like aphids, or a serious case of powdery mildew, neem oil doesn’t help much. This is where “Fier Eco Shot” and neem oil can complement each other perfectly.
Neem oil is very popular in organic gardening, but also often used incorrectly.
We recommend applying neem oil sprays as part of a preventative care routine to all plants that you know are prone to issues. Or, start neem oil applications at the first sign of disease. Catch it early! If the pest infestation or disease progresses, neem can still be used in conjunction with “Fier Eco Shot” to bolster the effect.
DOSE: Mix a spoon or two of neem oil with 1/2 dose of “Fier Eco Shot” before adding it to 1-2 gallons of water. Dilute the concentrate in a small amount of water first and add then add more water until the solution is emulsified. Finally add it to 1-2 gallons of water.
Notes:
Even if it is fully emulsified at the time of use, neem oil will try to re-separate from the water with time. If you make a large batch and store away the unused mixture, shake it thoroughly so that it is still nicely mixed before use.
Instead of mixing ‘Fier Eco Shot’ and neem oil, you can spray your garden with a light solution of “Fier Eco Shot” first and with another light solution of neem oil after 5-7 days.
The frequencyof application will vary based on your situation, schedule, and the severity of the infestation. neem oil should not be applied more than once a week. Like “Fier Eco Shot”, neem oil doesn’t have a long-lasting effect.
For plants you might actively be trying to protect, like artichokes, you can treat them weekly or bi-weekly for best results. This same frequency would be good for a plant showing early signs of a pest infestation or disease. On the other hand, citrus trees should be sprayed every month or so.
WARNING:
Some plants can be killed by neem oil, if used in a large quantity or if the spraying mixture is not mixed well (always shake the solution well). Before spraying an entire plant, always test a small area on the plant and wait 24-48 hours to check to see if the leaf has any damage. If there is no damage, then the plant should not be harmed by the neem oil.
Apply neem oil only in indirect light or in the evening to avoid foliage burning and to allow the treatment to seep well into the plant. Also, do not use neem oil in extremely hot or cold temperatures.
Avoid application to plants that are stressed due to drought or over-watering.
Like “Fier Eco Shot”, neem oil is not toxic to bees when used correctly. Diluting 1 dose of “Fier Eco Shot” in 1 gallon of water of more will not harm bees. Likewise, diluting 1-2 spoons of neem oil with 1 Gallon of water will not harm bees and other beneficial insects like ladybugs, earthworms, parasitic wasps, spiders, or adult butterflies. We recommend spraying only in the evening hours when these beneficial insects are least active.
Use very little neem oil on short-lived plants in your vegetable garden because it isn’t a total problem-solver and leaves a bit of an oily residue behind on leafy greens that can be difficult to wash off. However, for the leaves of squash plants, tomatoes, cannabis, or other foliage we aren’t going to directly consume, it is a good product to keep in your pest control kit.
APLICATION TIPS:
When applying neem oil spray in the garden, wear long, reusable, rubber dish gloves to avoid getting all oily. Some people can also experience a mild dermal reaction or allergy to it so take precautions as needed.
Avoid spraying “Fier Eco Shot” or neem oil on small seedlings, as it may burn them. Wait until plants are at least a month or two old, and start with slightly less than one tablespoon of neem per gallon. For large mature plants, feel comfortable using the full recipe.
It is best to apply foliar sprays after the sun goes down.
Fully drench the target plant until the leaves are dripping. Give your sprayer a shake here and there to keep things mixed. Make sure to spray the undersides of leaves as well. That is where most pests and disease fester.
Adding liquid Potassium Silica to your weekly “Fier Eco Shot” spray:
